The 4 new San Antonio restaurants to get your Creole fix

San Antonio Express News

The past three months have been kind to San Antonio. The city is now home to four more Louisiana-inspired spots featuring gumbo, crawfish and other Cajun and Creole favorites.
Half of the newcomers are locally owned and operated, the other two new entries hailing from well-established brands.
"The basic idea is we want to be a fixture in our  neighborhood providing fantastic seafood at reasonable prices," said Autum Perry-Sevilla, co-owner of the weeks-old Smashing Crab at 8910 Bandera Road, Suite 305. Seafood boils loaded with crawfish, clams and crabs including live Dungeness crabs flown in from Washington, have proven popular with early customers.
Henry Le has given the city a Southeast Asian spin on Gulf Coast seafood with his new Cajun Crawfish at 5519 W. Loop 1604 N., Suite 102. Diners are presented with large steel bowls packed with shellfish swimming in a fiery sauce at this Vietnamese and Creole hybrid eatery.
Among the chains to open recently, customers can now find a second branch of the Houston-based Pappadeaux at 15715 Interstate 10 W. and the first San Antonio outpost of Colorado brand The Lost Cajun at 5602 W. Hausman Road, Suite 102. Click through the slideshow above for more details.
